Living In Transparency

These articles discuss the lies we tell ourselves to make us think we are right with God. They touch on some of the topics we don't like to think about including masturbation and true and false conversion.

Rev. Mark Bernier

No Grey Area in Christ
God said "You will die" the devil said "you will not". There is no grey area.

Unconditional Eternal Security and Salvation
(Excerpt) One of the questions asked was "Where is the line drawn? How many sins can you commit?" It is drawn by the person who says "I know it is sin and I choose it over God," by the person who knows it is sin, knows it grieves God, knows God has convicted him or her again and again and does not care, knows that God has given Him or her the power to stop and still chooses that life or thing over God. Then as you harden your heart, it becomes the attitude of heart and at that point you of your own free will have rejected Christ and His salvation. God knows at what point that change has occurred and He does not take salvation away, you have rejected it.

Dating? Courtship? Marriage?
(Excerpt) One of the most asked questions by single Christians is about dating and marriage. Where is it in Scripture? What is proper? How do I go about this? Where do I draw the line? Is it holding hands, kissing, making out? If it is a man and they have read the Word they usually quote 1st Corinthians 7:27 emphasizing the "seek not a wife" part with a pained look on there face. First of all let's start where every Christian is supposed to start...

Me and the Demons Know Jesus Is Lord!
(Excerpt) Let me state some facts, some scriptural truths, and some will not like it. Some will deny it, deny God's Word, deny Christ, and still call yourself a Christian. First, what are you saved for? Answer---that the Son of God might be manifested in your mortal flesh. Is that happening in you? Is this what your life is about? Don't treat this lightly: it is heaven and hell and eternally serious. Salvation is a free gift, you can not earn it or do anything for your salvation. But hear this, you must do something to manifest it, you must work out what God has worked in. You have also been given a responsibility with the gift and you will stand before God and give an account of what you did.

The 12 Letter Dirty Word - Masturbation
(Excerpt) This article is from a single Christian males perspective, however the principles are the same for both men and women, married or not. This is a subject that no one wants to talk about. Mainly because most of us are guilty of it and continue to be, or have been guilty of it in the past.

Where Are You?
(Excerpt) God asked, "Adam where are you"? God knew exactly where Adam was. He wanted Adam to stop and think about it. How about you; have you ever asked where YOU are at; why are YOU there, and what are YOU going to do about it, if anything? Some people are quite content to stay hidden where they are, deal with their problems as best they can (pull yourself up by your own bootstraps, so to speak); or not deal with them at all.

Everyone must die sometime.
"...it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment..." Hebrews 9:27
